Coaching Moment: It's the Prescription

“5 or 6 days a week.” - Greg Glassman (creator of CrossFit)

That’s the prescription for our fitness program, CrossFit.

The only way we can guarantee you results is if you show up 5 or 6 days a week.

If you CrossFit 5 or 6 days a week at your relative intensity, you will see results. Will you see results if you only come 4 times a week? Yes but the road will be longer.

Will you see results if you only come 3 times a week? Maybe. Will you see results if you come 2 or less times a week? No.

That's the truth. Being exposed to the program 5 or 6 days a week is what produces long lasting results. It's what leads to better choices outside of the gym which ultimately impacts you more.

If you are sick and you’re prescribed medicine, you have to follow the prescription to guarantee results. If you’re told to take your medicine 2 time a day for 10 days, and you only do it for 6 days, don’t be upset if you still find yourself sick by day 10.

It’s the same for CrossFit and your overall fitness. You want results then you have to put in the work daily.

Respectfully Sent,

Josh Melendez
