Love Letter - Reflect on your hard work

Do you remember your first CrossFit workout? I’m always impressed when people say they remember their first workout due to how I felt during my first workout.

I have no idea what my first CrossFit workout was. It could have had push press or rowing or burpees or snatches or pull ups, I have no idea. What I clearly remember is stepping out to the back and throwing up. I remember feeling as if my whole world had been rocked and I needed my bed ASAP. I remember not finishing my workout and there is no way I would have done another one right after it.

The (40) athletes this past weekend just showed what hard work does for you. Y’all performed with high intensity, not just once, but four times! Again think back to your first CrossFit workout, did you think you could do another CrossFit workout three more times at high intensity right after? It’s real easy to overlook your hard work, but don’t. It’s real easy to look at others success and devalue your own, but don’t. It’s real easy to compare yourself and think you don’t have it, but don’t.

Treasure your hard work and keep going at it. Each one of you has come along way inside that gym and it has been a pleasure to see it happen. Again take a second and reflect on where you were when you started and where you are now. If you competed on Saturday, realize how awesome that was that you have the ability to perform four CrossFit workouts within 4 hours while giving your best. If you didn’t compete on Saturday, that’s ok, you have the opportunity to showcase your abilities everyday!

Don’t ever forget how far you’ve come in anything in life due to your own hard work.

Respectfully,

Josh
