One of the biggest pain points in fitness has nothing to do with motivation. It is not knowing where to start or what program to follow.
Walk into any gym, open social media, or search for fitness advice online and you will find an overwhelming number of opinions. One person says you need to lift weights five days a week. Another says you need to run every day. Someone else says you should train in a specific heart-rate zone, follow a particular diet, do mobility every morning, or complete a specialized program designed for a very specific goal.
Then comes the inevitable question:
Which program actually works?
For many people, fitness becomes confusing before they ever get started.
The problem is not a lack of information. In many cases, it is the opposite. There is so much information available that people struggle to determine what is actually useful, what applies to them, and what they should be doing consistently.
This is one of the reasons we believe CrossFit is such a powerful approach to fitness.
CrossFit is an empirical fitness program. That means we define our terms, measure results, observe what happens, and repeat the process. We do not have to simply guess whether something is working.
We measure it.
When you train at CrossFit Be Someone, your workouts are recorded. We can look at your performance over time and see whether you are improving. Are you lifting more weight? Are you completing the same amount of work faster? Are you moving more efficiently? Are you producing more power?
These measurements give us objective information about your fitness.
For example, if you can perform the same workout today that you performed six months ago, but you complete more work in the same amount of time, you are expressing more power. In CrossFit, we call that intensity. If your ability to produce power improves over time, we have evidence that your fitness is improving.
That is very different from simply hoping that a workout program is working because you feel tired afterward.
Sweating does not automatically mean you are getting fitter.
Being sore does not automatically mean you are getting stronger.
Doing more workouts does not automatically mean you are making progress.
Results matter.
This is also where having a coach becomes incredibly valuable.
You should not have to spend your evenings researching which workout you should do tomorrow. You should not have to constantly wonder whether you need to switch programs because you saw something new on Instagram. You should not have to figure out how to structure your strength training, conditioning, gymnastics, or mobility work on your own.
That is our job.
At CrossFit Be Someone, we provide the programming, coaching, instruction, feedback, and guidance. We take the guesswork out of fitness so you can focus on what actually matters:
Show up and do the work.
Our coaches know the program. We know how to scale workouts to meet you where you are. We can provide feedback on your movement, help you understand what you need to improve, and use your performance over time to determine whether you are progressing.
You do not need to know everything about fitness before you walk through our doors.
You do not need to be in shape before you start.
You do not need to know how to perform every movement.
And you certainly do not need to spend months trying to figure out which program might work for you.
Trust the process. Trust the program. Trust your coach.
Your responsibility is to consistently show up, listen to your coaches, put in the effort, and give us the opportunity to help you improve.
Our responsibility is to provide you with a well-designed program and the coaching necessary to help you execute it safely and effectively.
Fitness does not have to be complicated.
You need a program that makes sense, coaches who know how to teach it, and the consistency to follow it long enough to see the results.
At CrossFit Be Someone, we take care of the first two. You just need to show up.
