Love Letter - Father Time is Undefeated

As much as we don't want it to happen, it's going to happen. No one is immune to it and no one can stop it. We will get weaker, slower, and less athletic. Father Time is undefeated.

This does not mean that what you are doing is for nothing. On the contrary, what you are doing is giving yourself some more time and giving yourself the ability to still move in a functional manner when father time does arrive. We will all still be able to move functionally in our 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, and 100s. We might not be able to deadlift the same numbers anymore or run the same mile time but we can still deadlift and run. We might not be able to do pull ups anymore but we can still do ring rows. We might not be able to perform jump back burpees anymore but we can still do step back burpees. What I am getting at, is that you can still perform in life so keep doing what you are doing because it is worth it.

What you can continue to develop and improve on are your mindset and lifestyle. Your mindset and lifestyle can be better in your 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, and 100s than it is today. Improving those two things will improve your overall life. Improving those two things will help you realize that what you are doing is beyond today or tomorrow. It's about your future and how you live it. If you believe that a fitness program is not capable of helping with this, I'm here to tell you it can. I'm here to tell you that it is what we are after for you. We want you still kicking ass in your 90s and in order to do that, we need you to focus on your mindset and lifestyle.

The main reason I became a coach is to help people build better lifestyles. From everything I have read, researched, or listened to, it always comes back to those two. From every great coach I've spoken to and visited, it comes back to those two. I know for a fact that the best way we can help you best is by helping develop your mindset and lifestyle. That will lead you to your goals. That will lead you to kicking ass in your 90s. And when Father Time appears, you will be ok with it, because you know it's not about performing at the gym at the end of the day, it's about performing in life with the people you love the most and you can still do that.

Respectfully,

Josh Melendez
